Lake Geneva Region
The Canton of Vaud is increasingly becoming a wine-growing region whose wine meets the highest international standards. This landscape is waiting to be discovered and enjoyed.
The 3851 hectares of vineyards in Vaud are distributed among four different regions, each of which has its special topography and climate. The Vaudoise wines produced here – mainly Chasselas (almost 70%), Gamay (11%) and Pinot Noir (11%) – are defined by their individual region of origin. This explains the creation of the Canton’s 28 special labels (Appellations d’Origine Contrôlées).
